The Crushing/Screening industries in India are facing a recessionary trend due to taxation and pandemics in the country. Has it affected your company?
Yes, the change in tax structure due to GST affected the Crushing/Mining segment as any new changes takes time to show its good effect.
GST is good action but industries like Crushing/Mining which is in rural districts took more time to get organized and adapt to new accounting system and arrive at profit structure. Therefore, there was some resistance and temporary recession which affected the demand of spares.
The damage due to Pandemics known to everybody. The Lockdown and closure of economic activity has adverse effect worldwide and we were badly affected. From production to marketing all our activities came to stand still while all our statutory bills had to be paid for.
How do you deal with the challenges?
We are looking forward for situation to change. Everything is changing in this world and all bad times will turn in to good times.
Right now, we are in defensive mode and stock only the fast moving items and execute orders of slow moving items only when we receive orders from the customers
Have you been active on net media? What kind of activities does your company do for digital marketing?
We have subscribed to Indiamart and have listed our contact details. We keep our entries updated. We are also active on Facebook and regularly post status/stories of our company.
How has the Coronavirus affected your company's performance in the past one year?
We are not much effected as we have wide customer base both in the country and abroad.
However, we were badly effected due to migration of the labour from our production base. Both our skilled and unskilled labour migrated due to fear of pandemics and we had make new arrangements for keeping up our production.
What strategy has your company adopted to reach out to your customers?
We normally stay in touch with our phone calls, sending messages and emailing them. We now receive payments and orders online and is convenient for both the parties.
